Joseph van Wijk, the Acting Chairman, is a New Zealand qualified Chartered Accountant. Joseph has a diverse range of international experience in accounting, taxation, investment and financial roles including mergers and acquisitions in the UK and the USA. He is currently the Managing Director of Tasman Capital Ltd and also a Director of publicly listed TRS Investments Ltd. He has a Bachelor of Business from New Zealand and a Master of Business Administration from the United Kingdom.

Erik Westergaard is the Chief Executive of Buller Electricity. Erik has held electricity industry (Transmission and Distribution) and consulting positions in both North America and New Zealand. He has a background in policy advice, strategy development and execution, regulation, and economic analysis and has extensive experience assisting with all aspects of electricity market design and operation. He has provided advice to elected government representatives, government officials and agencies, and executives and Boards of Directors in a number of countries including Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United States.

Peter Young is a director of Buller Electricity Limited. Peter is a retired audit partner of KPMG Chartered Accountants Christchurch and is a director of Buller Electricity Limited. He is a past chairman of Directors of Steelbro Limited, Cooltainer Holding Limited and Buller Holdings Limited and is a Trustee for St. John South Island Trusts Board.

Frank Dooley is a Chartered Accountant and has been the Chairman of Buller Electricity Limited for four years. Frank is also a director of Westland Milk Products Limited and Buller Holdings Limited and a Trustee of Development West Coast.
